Introducing “Royalty,” a stunning and unique wood carving that embodies the grandeur and majesty of a lion’s head with a distinctly human feel. This exceptional piece is crafted from high-quality basswood, a thoughtful gift from a friend, and stands as the largest of my creations to date.

In “Royalty,” I aimed to capture the essence of nobility and arrogance, reflecting a creature of noble origin. The intricate details and expressive features merge the fierce pride of a lion with the depth of human emotion, creating a powerful and captivating presence.

This one-of-a-kind carving was sold even before its completion, a testament to its allure and craftsmanship. The process of bringing “Royalty” to life was a labor of love, taking approximately 16 hours of dedicated work using power carving techniques.

To enhance and protect the natural beauty of the wood, the final piece was meticulously treated with linseed oil and varnished, giving it a rich, lustrous finish.
